The Way of the Mountain

Please join us for a half-day retreat to explore the Way of the Mountain with practices that can help us remain steady along the path. Mountains have been a part of Buddhist iconography for centuries, and this will be a wonderful opportunity to discover the wisdom that is evoked in the presence of these noble and sacred earth forms. Born from the collision of tectonic plates, and rising out of the landscape to lofty heights, mountains represent spiritual growth, the formation of a strong base, the equanimity of stillness, the acceptance of change, and views from peak vantage points. We will be contemplating the elemental nature of mountains through Dharma teachings, meditation, movement and more, as ways to abide during shifts and upheavals in our own lives.
