The Magic and Mystery of Lucid Dreaming

Guest Speaker - Mia Lux

Mia Lux is a dedicated oneironaut—one who consciously explores dream worlds, most often through the practice of lucid dreaming—and a former lawyer who has spent nearly a decade immersing herself in both modern neuroscience and Tibetan Buddhist dream yoga. Blending scientific insight with spiritual tradition, Mia has crafted a practical and effective methodology for lucid dream practice. Her presentation will be:

Awaken to your Dreams: An Introduction to Lucid Dreaming & Dream Yoga

What if the six years we spend dreaming aren’t just random images of the night, but a doorway into creativity, healing, and awakening?

For over forty years, science has confirmed lucid dreaming as a unique and verifiable state of consciousness. Yet long before EEG machines and sleep labs, Tibetan Buddhists were already practicing dream yoga, using dreams as a preparation for death and a path to insight and liberation.

In this beginner-friendly talk, we’ll explore lucid dreaming through the lenses of neuroscience, psychology, and spiritual wisdom. You’ll discover why this state of awareness is so extraordinary, what it reveals about the mind, and how you can begin to step into it yourself. Together, we’ll open up to the incredible implications of waking up to the full potential of our dreams.

The Magic and Mystery of Energy Work

with Annette Lombardi

Annette Lombardi is a graduate of the 2020 UCLA Training in Mindfulness Program as part of the Mindful Awareness Research Center. She has a degree in social work and has facilitated support groups for families in various settings, including autistic adults, teens in crisis, and special needs families. With a practice of Insight meditation for over 30 years, she is now turning her attention toward teaching others the preciousness of mindfulness practices. She is also the founder of Serenity Sound Bath, where she offers Reiki and sound bath therapy. This combination of practices is designed to clear blockages and open the channels to universal life force energy. The waves of sound from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes deepen relaxation and enhance emotional release, stress reduction, and chakra alignment. She shares how participants emerge with heightened self-awareness, emotional clarity, and a sense of inner peace, benefiting from the synergistic effects of both therapies for comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The Magic and Mystery of Psychedelics & Spirituality

A Personal Perspective

Guest Speaker - Zach Leary

Zach Leary is a session facilitator, meditation teacher, and the son of psychedelic icon Timothy Leary. He is a prominent voice in the modern psychedelic renaissance. Drawing from personal experience, mentorship by Ram Dass, and extensive research, Zach leads workshops and discussions that blend spirituality, psychology, and safe psychedelic practice. As host of the MAPS Podcast and author of Your Extraordinary Mind, he helps legitimize the transformative potential of psychedelics in our time. His presentations explore spirituality and psychedelics from a deeply personal, integrative perspective. Sharing stories of his healing journey—including overcoming addiction and confronting mortality—Zach discusses the responsible use of compounds like psilocybin, ayahuasca, and MDMA. He emphasizes "set, setting, and sustainability," blending Jungian psychology, meditation, and practical wisdom to unlock psychedelics’ capacity for lasting spiritual growth, emotional insight, and connection to broader consciousness.
