The Magic and Mystery of the Dharma will be a four-part series where we will venture into the numinous territories of the mind and body. We'll consider the “big questions” about consciousness, life and death. We’ll ponder fate, free will and transformation. And talk of the paranormal will be met with curiosity and openness. The convergence of science and spirituality leads us into the profound realms of enlightened beings like the Buddha. The Dharma awakens us to the wonder and awe of the universe. Join us as we delve into how the wisdom of these teachings can enrich both the ordinary, and extraordinary, experiences in our lives.

The Magic and Mystery of Nature and the Human Body
There was a time in human history, before scientific explanation, when people lived in awe of the natural world. Seasons were celebrated, birth and death were sacred, rites were offered for fertility and abundance. Nature and our human bodies as a part of nature have been analyzed and dissected. Yes, there are many wonderful discoveries that have come from scientific inquiry but has something been lost? This first class in the Magic and the Mystery of the Dharma, will focus on nature and the human body. We do not fully understand physical existence and this class will ask us to look at it with a sense of wonder. When there is wonder and a sense of awe there can also be a deeper and more heartfelt connection to this world. Come join us to awaken to the magic in the natural world.

The Magic and Mystery of Creativity
Kim Hermanson, PhD - Guest Speaker
The Third Space: Unlocking Creativity and Non-Cognitive Wisdom
In this transformative talk, Dr. Kim Hermanson will reveal how the metaphoric language of the right hemisphere opens the door to deep creative intelligence and non-cognitive wisdom. Through a guided journey, participants will connect with a personal metaphoric image that serves as a gateway into “Third Space” — a realm beyond the limits of rational thinking. By tapping into this innate creative intelligence, participants will access profound insights that transcend habitual thought patterns, allowing for deep creativity and clarity.

She is known for her ability to quickly shift a person out of his or her thinking mind into an intelligent field of profound beauty that lies beyond thought.
