South Bay Insight LA
Sunday Morning Meditation Practice Group

Death and dying are experiences we all share, yet many of us hesitate to speak about them directly. Many have superstitions that if they talk or think about death it will bring it on. The irony is being knowledgeable about death and able to openly talk about it, truly enhances living.
In this four-part series, long-time Buddhist practitioner, hospice chaplain, and author of The Three Regrets, Tenzin Kiyosaki and seasoned meditator and student of death and dying Peggy Kersulis will guide an inquiry into death as an integral part of the path. We will explore acceptance, fear, regret, the decline of the body, and the question “Who dies?” through reflection, dialogue, and contemplative practice, with an emphasis on participation rather than lecture.
The class will meet online on the third Sunday of the month from March through May, and conclude in June with an in‑person gathering at a local cemetery to reflect on end‑of‑life choices, burial practices, and how we wish to be remembered. Participants will be invited to bring an obituary, eulogy, or death poem to share as part of this closing session.
Please join us for this important exploration of how befriending death can illuminate the preciousness of this human life.
