SBILA Community Field Trip

We’re excited to invite you to a special SBILA Community Field Trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Friday, June 7th at 11:00 AM, for a guided tour of the stunning new exhibit:

Realms of the Dharma: Buddhist Art Across Asia

Led by Elizabeth Gerber, Senior Educator of Programs and Engagement at LACMA, this exhibit features over 180 masterpieces of pan-Asian Buddhist art. Through exquisitely crafted sculptures, paintings, and ritual objects, the exhibit introduces key concepts of Buddhist thought and practice across diverse cultures and time periods.

Meet us at the museum’s Main Entrance by 10:40 am to allow time for check in. Museum admission is covered by SBILA, though parking in the museum lot ($21) is not included.  Friends and family are warmly welcome to join us! Following the tour—which will last between 1 to 1.5 hours—we invite you to bring a lunch to enjoy together outdoors, in community.
